Located in Worldwide, Finger Lake Wilderness Resort is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage that can accommodate up to 10 people comfortably. The total floor area is approximately 900 sq.ft. The cottage has a single floor level.
This property is located within Worldwide.
Getaway, Relax & Unwind to Finger Lake where you will find Lakeside log cabins & RV Campsites at affordable rates, excellent trout fishing and exclusive access to Finger Lake and the surrounding wilderness. Finger Lake is a 9 Km long narrow lake to the depth of 60 feet with 4 islands stretched down the center so you are never far from a shoreline.
Finger Lake rewards the angler with wild rainbow trout to 5 pounds, kokanee salmon, and a very high catch frequency of tasty pan fry's to 2 pounds. Trolling small spinners with or without a willow leaf is very productive. Using a sink tip or full sink with dragon fly nymphs, doc spratleys or popular leach patterns are just as rewarding.
The high catch frequency, no size limit, no bait or gear restrictions make this a great family fishing destination where “Kids Catch Fish!” A six year old, holds the current record off the main dock, a 3-pound trout. There are two docks, both a short walk from your cabin or campsite.
Expect great fishing from ice-off in mid May right to the end of October. Pick up a depth map at the on-site store, which sells licenses, lures, flies and bait. Paddleboats, canoes or aluminum boats with motors are available for rent.
Many people make Finger Lake their Base Camp where you truly can “Fish a Lake a Day, the length of your stay! Surrounding Lakes in the area are – Arthur, Tatuk, Lavoie, Hay, Secord, Glutien, Dutien, Knewstubb, Hobson, Chief Grey (Bitch), Citcuta (Rum Cache), Lucas, Chutanli, Kuyakuz and the head waters of the Nechako Rivers at Cheslatta falls.
Some of these locations are trophy catch and release lakes. This October one of these lakes produced a 28-inch wild rainbow estimated to be 10 to 12 pounds. It was caught and released and is still waiting for you. Others are hike in, float tube only type lakes. Some of the ATV accessible lakes have boats on location. Many lakes in this area have continuous action in the 2-pound range.
Check out their web site FingerLakeResort for more information.
Finger Lake and the surrounding area is a fisherman's dreams come true.
Finger Lake holidays can be taken with the emphasis on wildlife & nature photography and/or hiking, canoeing, camping instead of just fishing.
Your dogs are welcome except for pit bulls or related X-Breeds. For the consideration of other guests, barking dogs must be controlled and not left behind if you go onto the lake. All dogs must be picked up after doing their business, they poop you scoop. A walk on our 1.5 km driveway makes a perfect doggie walk. If your pooch miss behaves at our discretion we may ask you to keep them leashed or penned. Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our life whole
Yes. We rent row boats, paddle boat, canoes and boats with motors. Gas & life jackets are included with rentals.
Yes, we have two terrific hikes to water falls. One is a short drive of 22.5 kms away is a great summer swimming hole and a short 1.7 hike great for older children. The other hike is a 45 km drive to a massive spill way from the largest earth dam in BC which you drive over. No chance of swimming here. Perfect for a day picnic.
As soon as you leave the pavement, have your camera and field glasses handy. On the drive in there is a very good chance of spotting moose, black bears, deer, grizzly bears. If you packed your horse shoes you may luck out and spot a wolf, wolverine or lynx. Birds are plentiful, with eagles, ospreys, loon, humming birds and a sortment of ducks greibes, king fishers, geese and pelicans. View our picture galleries found on our web site.
Absolutely! We are blessed with excellent wide roads. They are logging roads and depending on the time of the year one might see logging roads. They are all radio equipped so each stays in touch with the others warning them of tourist traffic. The roads are wide enough too pass but have also includded Pull-outs 2 every kilometer so one can pull off the road.
"Gary J. There is no other place like Finger Lake. It's like time stands still when you're there. The peace and quiet, the Eagles and Ospreys soaring, the moose and bear in the marsh brings a solace to one's soul that can not be described.

"John B. –Chatterton UK
Just returned from Finger Lake Wilderness Resort after a touring holiday in Canada, I can only say that if fly fishermen have a heaven then this is it. Our stay here was for us the highlight of our trip, everything was just as we had dreamed, great location, great pitch for the RV, the other guests were great, and as for the hosts you will not find nicer people anywhere. When we left it was with great sadness and we spent the rest of our trip comparing everything to Finger Lake, nothing else came close. To us this was the Canadian dream for fishing come true. Thanks."
