One can not even begin to put into words the beauty of the Caribbean, but hey, I'm going to try. The waters are magnificent, the beaches are clean and inviting, the landscape is picturesque and the cultural experience is varied and unique. The Caribbean is known for its laid back atmosphere and friendly people so if you are looking to relax and escape from your everyday routine then a Caribbean vacation is just what you need.
While millions of travelers explore the Caribbean islands every year, there are still some islands that maintain a very private setting for those wanting private villas for romance or utter relaxation. Take St. Lucia or Dominica for example, they have wonderful mountains to escape into and waterfalls to explore. The adventurous will be in heaven while on their Caribbean holiday. Surfing, sport fishing, diving and snorkeling are just a few of the many activities you can experience while staying at your Caribbean vacation rental. You can also swim with sting rays in Grand Cayman, go on a horseback ride in the Dominican Republic or swim with the dolphins in Curacao. There are also caves to explore in Jamaica, rain forests to trek through in Grenada, and rivers to kayak in the US Virgin Islands.
There is also a wealth of nightlife to be experienced while on your Caribbean vacation. Trinidad has a world-renowned carnival experience, gambling can be found in places like Bahamas, Puerto Rico and Aruba and of course dancing and drinking can be found anywhere in the Caribbean. No matter where your choice for a holiday house there is sure to be entertainment close by to carry you through the night. Then just as you will find a wide diversity of fish and birds throughout the islands, you will also find a huge diversity of cuisine. Probably some of the finest dining available in the Caribbean is in St. Martin, which has a heavy French influence and provides a remarkable dining experience. A close second would be Anguilla where almost every dish has seafood and where there is a British influence. But most popular are the traditional Creole spices that are found on every island.
Cultural experiences abound in these tropical islands. For years there have been battles over the ownership of these islands between such countries as the United States, England, Netherlands, France, Spain and Denmark and as such there are many different cultures to encounter. From the reggae and calypso style of music in Haiti to the Spanish castles of Cuba you will be pleasantly surprised at the cultural opportunities available on your Caribbean vacation. Ahhh, the Caribbean vacation of a lifetime is just calling out your name. Once you are settled into your vacation villa, your shoes have been kicked off, the restrictive clothing of air travel is exchanged for your bathing suit, you have a cold drink (rum, perhaps?) in your hand and you start realizing that time doesn't matter here in the islands, then you will truly begin to experience the island motto, “don't worry, be happy!”
