Reef Cottage is named after its location, built on an ancient fossil reef and surrounded by Almond and Olive trees, where in January and February the almond blossom is absolutely stunning! Just a 25 minute drive is the lively coastal town of Mojacar and some of the most wonderful beaches and coves make this an ideal vacation destination.

The Cottage is adjacent to Almond Reef Casa Rural, the farmhouse being the original 150 year old building in the hamlet of Los Josefos and has been lovingly restored to a very high standard, retaining many of the original features a majority of rooms still retain their low beamed ceilings, with modern bathrooms to provide elegant accommodation for our Bed and Breakfast guests.

For large parties or groups Reef Cottage and Almond Reef can open up to become one unit. Guests have the use of a barbecue, large sun terrace, beautiful garden and swim/spa pool, with great views of the surrounding mountains. After dark, stargazers will be delighted with the clarity of the night sky. At Reef Cottang and Almond Reef, we can offer you all the facilities you require for a relaxing and sociable stay, in a lovely location and a beautiful unspoilt area of rural Spain.

Reef Cottage the Master Bedroom: twin/queen bed, 2 bedside cabinets, chest of draws and hanging space. Doorway leading to en-suite shower room, with roman bath, the wash basin is from the local potteries in Nijar.

Family room: twin/queen bed, 2 chests of draws, blanket box, hanging space, chair and round glass table. Another single bed or cot may be added if required. the ceiling has beautiful old beams, giving a real Spanish farmhouse feel. Shower/wet room is adjacent.

Lounge has a very cottage feel, sofa bed, dinning table and chairs, nest of tables. Satellite TV, DVD, Wifi and Radio/CD player.

Alcove to Andalucian kitchen with fridge, gas hob, kettle, toaster, microwave, and sink. Plastic plates, bowels cool box etc great for a picnic, pots, pans and cooking utensils. Beach towels supplied at a small nominal fee, no need to pack what you don't need. Home from home.

Beautiful established gardens, outside lighting and power sockets, large purpose built BBQ and stone dining table seating up to 12 comfortably, Spanish bread oven. Path and stairs down to private heated (Hydrotherapy) swim/spa pool 4.63 x 2.29 x 1.23. Table chairs and parasol. 4 sun lounges with a pretty surrounding garden. Past the stone table there is an outside toilet, raised area with table, chairs and 2 setter cane furniture. Stairs to the sun terrace where there are further table and chairs and sun loungers idea for the hot evenings to sit and stargaze with a cool drink.
