Why should I book this private house instead of a hotel room?

Freedom, privacy & space are some of the main reasons why people prefer the comfort of staying in a home compared to the typical hotel room with shared bathroom & shared facilities.

What are the advantages of booking direct with the owner?

You can see exactly the house that you are booking so there are no surprises after you arrive! It is cost effective as you are dealing direct and cutting out the middle man. We know our villa and the immediate area thoroughly and can answer most if not all of your questions.

Who looks after the villa and what do we do if something goes wrong?

The villa is looked after by our friendly and professional management team. Their contact details are visibly displayed within the villa and they are on call for emergencys 24hrs a day, so there is no need to worry as help is always at hand.

What safety/security features are there?

The villa is fully licensed by the Florida authorities, and therefore includes fire alarms and interior lighting in case of an emergency. We have installed a monitored security and fire alarm which includes direct response buttons to police, medical and fire service. You should feel totally safe at The Shire as access to community is controlled by electronic gates and monitored by CCTV with a number-plate tagging system.

How many people can stay at the villa?

Strictly a maximum of 10 to occupy the premises at any one time.

How do I book?

You can contact us stating the dates you require and we will reply to you with your personal quotation confirming availability and provide a booking form with terms and conditions.

How do I secure my booking?

A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total rental cost is required to secure your booking along with the completed & signed booking form.

What security deposit would you require?

A fully-refundable security deposit of £200/$300 is required along with your rental payment. The Security deposit payment is normally returned within 28 days of your departure as long as no damage, missing items or abuse of our terms and conditions has been reported.

When is my full payment due?

Full payment is due 10 weeks before your departure. We will endeavour to send you a reminder nearer this time. If you are booking with less than 10 weeks to departure then the full payment including security deposit is due immediately.

When do we receive directions & access instructions to the villa?

Full directions including address and all access codes are sent to you once the full payment of your rental has been received.

What time is check in and check out?

Check in is after 1600 hrs Check out is before 1000 hrs Early Check-In or Late Check-Out may be accommodated by prior arrangement; please contact us for details.

How do I get the keys?

We have a keyless entry system so there is no need for you to worry about collecting the keys after arrival. No matter what time you arrive after check in time you have direct access to the house. Further details will be sent to you before you travel.

Do I need travel insurance?

As with all holidays/vacations we strongly advise you get full travel/medical insurance, preferably as soon as you have made your booking. We advise that this insurance covers you for cancellation of independently booked accommodation and for non US residents full medical insurance.

Are all towels and linen included?

Yes all towels and linens are included and we provide beach/pool towels

Can I access the internet at your villa?

Not only do you have access to a high speed wireless internet connection but we have provided for guests use the latest touch-screen HP PC with internet access along with a laser printer.

Is there a hairdryer?

Each bathroom (4) has its own integral hairdryer.
